Snow! Snow! Snow!!

As the snow started to fall yesterday I confess that all I wanted to do was sit at my front window and watch the flakes come down. There’s something about snow, especially in the south, that just transforms the entire world. And not just because people stay in their houses (after, of course, cleaning out all the bread and milk from the Kroger) … it’s the quiet peace of snow falling, the white blanket over everything that literally transforms the view outside our windows to something entirely different. It’s the snowmen, the crunch under your feet, the sparkle of sun on the snow-covered tree branches … it’s a chance for us to remember exactly how beautiful our surroundings are. Something we so often overlook until mother nature gives us this excuse to pause and appreciate what we see.
