    Hi everyone,

Today I’m starting a new series of blog entries and tweets, to appreciate the little things in life … the little things that can bring you joy no matter what’s going on in your life. For instance, I always stop and listen when I hear a flock of geese flying overhead, and enjoy a moment of peace. When I smell leaves burning in the fall, I stop and breathe in the smell of autumn with a smile on my face. Yesterday, I got a kick out of watching children dance at the wedding, when “dancing” means pretty much just excitedly jumping up and down … and then an even bigger kick out of watching adults do it too.

Feel free to add your small pleasures to the comments of any post. I think these things are contagious. For instance, a while back Holly mentioned that one of her small pleasures is when there’s foam soap in a public restroom … and ever since then I think of her when I use foam soap and it makes me happy too!

Here’s an illustration of one of my favorite small pleasures… when a couple can find a way to really be together during their wedding ceremony, usually without talking, maybe just a look, maybe the way they hold hands, but something that allows the rest of the world to fall away and bring the focus on to that moment. This image is from Krystalyn and Justin’s wedding ceremony.

Hello everyone! Who’s loving this crisp autumn air? I so enjoy watching the orange and red leaves dancing around in the yard. And the sessions and weddings that we’ve done outside have been filled with that gorgeous fall color. Love it.

I’m going back in time today though, to another of the summer weddings I didn’t have time to blog about earlier, Krystalyn and Justin’s wedding. I knew Krystalyn was going to be beautiful, but she was absolutely stunning. Here she is getting some help with her jewelry.

Here are a couple shots of the sun coming through the window as she got ready:

Doesn’t she look amazing just walking down a hallway?

As we shot some formal portraits on the front porch, the groomsmen couldn’t resist peeking.

And while Justin joked about trying to peek at his bride, when she was actually outside, he stayed away from the window.

I’ll be back tomorrow with some of their portraits, but here’s a quick image of Krystalyn, looking as perfect as a porcelain doll.

I’ve only got a few more for you from Amanda and Steven’s wedding.

I love this image because it was taken while they were making their rounds greeting people during dinner. I saw this great pattern of light coming through the window and asked Amanda if she wouldn’t mind being a supermodel again for just a moment.

    During the first dance:

I know I showed you the beautiful head table already, but it was just a great focal point for the room.

Right after dinner, people started to dance. And man, did they dance.

However, a few of their friends did take a brief break from dancing to do this. Believe it or not, the outside of the car is just the half of it.
